2019 RAM 3500

This new Ram truck will come in six decked-out trim options: Tradesman, SLT, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. It'll also be available in three cab sizes: regular, mega, and the best-selling crew cab, with spacious seating for four adults. While Ram hasn't released the price of upcoming 3500, expect an increase over last year's base sticker of $33,945 for the 2018 Tradesman trim level. The new model year retains the 3500's familiar, burly appearance. The front grille was redesigned to feature a nostril-style opening with the Ram badge proudly displayed in the center. The new Ram 3500 features a new slotted front bumper for better cooling, while innovative skid plates protect vital powertrain components. Want a flashier 3500? The Tungsten Edition offers plenty of chrome details, unique wheels, and body-color running boards. The Ram Night Special Edition features a satin-black crosshair grille and black wheels.

The most exciting news about the future 3500 is the optional Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel power plant. This six-cylinder engine produces 390 horsepower and an astounding 905 foot-pounds of torque. Also available is the Ram 3500's stock 5.7-liter V-8 that puts out 385 horses, and the big 6.4-liter V-8 that delivers 415. All three engine options are paired at the factory with an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission, but you can also opt for a manual gearbox when you upgrade to the turbodiesel.

The Ram 3500 can tow up to 30,000 pounds, making its new fifth-wheel hitch the strongest in the industry. Ram installed new high-definition cameras for added convenience, including a backup camera housed in the tailgate handle. The second camera, a center high mounted stop lamp, is ideal for viewing the truck's cargo bed. Connect any number of external features like a plow or tow lights to the truck's electrical system with a series of upfitter switches mounted right in the dash.
